Cupcakes

Who doesn't like a cupcake? I don't really eat them but I can't help but admire them. When I was little my mum made me an angel food cake that had sprinkles on top. She always baked a cake of your choice on your birthday. I don't ever remember what it tasted like, just how amazing it looked after she iced it. Anyway, cake always looks delicious but it rarely tastes as good as it looks. Or have I just been eating the wrong kind of cake? Cheese cake tastes better then it looks, at least to me, or is cake, like personal style subjective?
