Vauxhall Fashion Scout - Quest for the Best Emerging Designers
Once again Vauxhall Fashion Scout is on the search for the UK’s best new fashion and accessories designers. Designers are invited to apply to take part in the largest independent designer event during London Fashion Week February 2010.Heading towards its eighth season Vauxhall Fashion Scout is creating its very first designer exhibition within their stunning venue - the historic Freemasons’ Hall in Covent Garden. This exhibition will enable accessories and clothing designers to showcase their collections, alongside Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s acclaimed catwalk and presentation designers, to a fantastic range of national and international media and buyers.As well as their high profile event in London, next season Vauxhall Fashion Scout is also expanding to Paris Fashion Week, with an exclusive showroom in the heart of the Marais featuring a selection of the UK’s hottest new designers.Designers are also invited to apply for the prestigious Merit Award, previously won by William Tempest and David Koma, and to be part of the highly acclaimed Ones To Watch show.Successful designers will benefit from Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s acclaimed approach to working with emerging talent. This initiative includes the provision of a year-long programme of mentoring salons hosted by key people from within the fashion industry, and workshops, both aimed at helping designers build and maintain successful creative businesses.In order to be given the opportunity to show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout, designers must have reached both the creative and business levels required to show, present or exhibit at an event of this calibre. Applicants are therefore judged by the following criteria: creativity, quality, and business development.
