The Princess And The Frog star Anika Noni Rose wears William Tempest at London Premiere

This afternoon I met William Tempest at the Mayfair Hotel for a tea party and private screening of The Princess And The Frog. I've been to several fashion events at the Mayfair Hotel but it's always more exciting to go with a designer that you work with!

Disney asked William to design a dress for Anika Noni Rose, the star of The Princess And The Frog, for the London premiere. William Tempest has always been a big fan of Disney, and he grew up with a sister who adored all things Disney, so in a way it was no surprise but really you just don't expect Disney to phone you up and ask you to make a dress for a princess! You always wonder how these relationships come about but sometimes something simple leads to a great opportunity: William wore a Mickey Mouse T-shirt at one of his shows and was photographed in it and someone at Disney noticed.

I was waiting in the lobby to meet William and there were lots of little girls dressed up in princess dresses wearing tiaras for the tea party and premiere. It was very festive and quite a site to behold!

There was a lineup of press waiting to talk to everyone involved, and here's William giving interviews to each of them in turn.

Anika Noni Rose sang live for the crowd - it was quite exciting! As you might expect, she has an amazing voice.

Stacy Soloman was there, with her little boy dressed up as an alligator (there's one in the film) and Jamelia was there with her two daughters. More then anything it was a family event, even including Peter Jones, who was there with his wife and three cute little girls.
