Corrie Nielsen Spring/Summer 2012
I went to visit designer Corrie Nielsen at her studio in the vaults in Somerset House. Corrie's SS12 collection was inspired by Oscar Wilde’s gothic novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray. Her love of mens tailoring is fused with a Japanese aesthetic, which works beautifully.
Every piece in Corrie's collection tells a story and it's a particular woman with a sense of grandure who wears her clothes. Although the collection is dramatic and seems like it is from another era there's a certain modernity to the cut and the white shirt is classic Nielsen - you can often spot Corrie herself in crisp white crisp shirt..

I used this cape from Corrie's previous collection in a shoot for Phoenix magazine.
