Issey Miyake Spring/Summer 2013 Paris show at Le Grand Palais

Bill Cunningham taking pictures outside the Issey Miyake show!The show took place at Le Grand Palais and there was quite a bit of buzz outside the show!One of thing that was really beautiul about the show and added to the impact of the garments was the production and music - sometimes we forget how important these aspects of a show are but when it's done well all we notice is a beautiful show.  At the beginning of the show the girls came out one at a time - but there would often be 6 girls on the catwalk as it's quite long. The music changed - many of the looks interplay diagonal stripes and bold colour blocks and so the models started to walk quickly in zig zag formation - its was exhilerating and really reflected the spirit of the collection. The finale finished in a waterfall formation which was so beautiful with all the greens, blues and the red - it was just an array of colour flying by!
