Candid Magazine & Stephen Jones

I'm very excited about this issue of Candid Magazine with milliner Stephen Jones gracing our cover. I rarely feel that I'm doing shoots that I truly love and really want to be doing (I'm planning on changing that this year), but this shoot was something that I've wanted to do for a long time! Plus I love hats and have several boxes of Stephen's hats that I've been collecting over the years. I don't get star struck or infatuated with celebrities but I am often in awe of designers and this shoot was no exception. I was delight to work with Stephen and he exceeded all my expectations, as he was utterly charming, witty and very interesting. We shot in the Piano Suite bedroom at Claridge's hotel with one of my favourite photographers Darren Black. It was only fitting that Stephen wore a  Christopher Kane suit in mauve - the house colour of Stephen Jones.I haven't wanted to do too many shoots since my husband passed away so I thought it would be good to have a bit of extra support at my shoot, knowing this shoot would be special too me. I wanted to share the day, so I had my favourite assistant Hannah and my dear friend Leo - who's a knitwear designer helping out. I've been very fortunate to have such good friends supporting & looking out for me this year. I'm so grateful to them & wouldn't of wanted to do a shoot that meant so much to me without them.    Candid Magazine Issue 13 will be available worldwide soon in top-tier bookstores, newsagents and specialty stores.
