Selection_FashionScoutThis season the Fashion Scout Selection Committee included Judith Tolley from the Centre for Fashion Enterprise, Hilary Alexander OBE, Vogue Italia's Sara Maino, me, Martin Robert (Director of Fashion Scout), designer and merit award winner Georgina Hardinge, consultant Craig Spellar and Kendall Robbins from the British Council. Fashion Scout is one of the few venues in the world that offers a platform for emerging talent to showcase their work on the catwalk.  This season we had a very strong panel as everyone has different backgrounds and therefore different views and opinions, which means we can really choose the best designer for Merit Award and One to Watch. With over 200 applications to Fashion Scout we have the opportunity to see different emerging trends; last season there was lots of monochrome and clean lines and this season there was lots of colour and texture - which felt quite exciting.
