The Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI) is the world’s first fashion incubator. They are an award-winning, non-profit organization that helps emerging fashion entrepreneurs become successful by understanding the business of fashion. The TFI created an online, digital wholesale showroom, Canada’s first, featured 14 top-tier designers, including LGBTQ2+, BIPOC and women-owned or led brands the showroom generated almost $1M (CAD) in wholesale sales by 43% of participating brands in. Built on the JOOR platform, which has over 200,000 registered retail buyers from around the globe, Showroom Canada was visited by major retailers such as Brown’s Fashion, Dover Street Market, Harrod’s, Hudson’s Bay, Simons and many more.
34% of retailers were from the US, 31% from Canada, and the balance from Italy, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Germany and Asia. Each of the participating brands collected 100+ email addresses from actual retail buyers.
